ABOUT THIS ROLE

The role of a Senior Sanitation Supervisor with Wawona Frozen Foods is to ensure that the sanitation programs at WFF facilities are followed as outlined. The Senior Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for scheduling the appropriate amount of people across all shifts, enforcing and challenging the sanitation program, and making updates where necessary.


DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Active participation in Wawona Frozen Foods' Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury-free environment.
  • Participate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.
  • Compliance with all GMP, HAACP, Food Safety, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures.
  • Empowered to notify and/or act in response to any issues or concerns within the scope of work.
  • Wear all the required personal protective equipment and ensure that all employees on the floor are as well.
  • Expert knowledge of WWF sanitation processes, general sanitation principles, CIP systems, and sanitation chemicals.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Food Safety Principles, HACCP plans, and WFF Food Safety and Quality Program.
  • Responsible for working with the Sanitation Supervisors to ensure that all shifts are appropriately staffed.
  • Accountable for all department training, project assignments, performance evaluations, and safety.
  • Set safety and sanitation goals and make sure that they are met annually.
  • Represent the sanitation department in all Food Safety, Organic, and Customer audits.
  • Lead all sanitation root cause analysis and ensure that preventative actions are found and installed.
  • Participate in the annual creation of the Sanitation budget and set goals for staying under budget.
  • Work with the Supply Chain/Purchasing department to ensure that the Sanitation supplies are adequately priced.
  • Expert ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and develop proper counter measures.
  • Keep the Master Sanitation Schedule up to date and ensure that it is completed monthly.
  • Ability to lead projects from inception to implementation, developing plans and follow-up.
  • Create and report out Sanitation KPI's on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalency or specialized training from a technical school in which a certificate was obtained.
  • +4 years of experience in Sanitation operations
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues or problems.
  • Strong team building, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Computer skills ability to navigate Microsoft 365 products.
  • Ability to read and understand schedules, contracts, and other reports.

LOCATION

  • This position will work out of our Cedar or Alluvial location.

PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

  • Work in an environment where there can be medium to loud noise and in cold temperatures.
  • Stand and walk, feel, reach with hands and arms. Occasionally requested to sit and talk or hear.
  • A fast-paced environment that requires high attention to details and minimal down time.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work flexible/varying schedules to support the team, customers, and deadlines.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and ability to see all colors.
  • Wear appropriate personal protection equipment and adhere to dress code as outlined for working in a food manufacturing facility.
