Job Description

COMC is looking to hire a Senior Robotics and Automation Technician. This role will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining robotic automation systems, writing and maintaining controller code, and assisting in identifying design improvements and helping with the design of new systems. The ideal candidate will be a team player, used to working collaboratively on a variety of complex systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and maintain robotic automation systems
• Write and maintain controller code and SDKs
• Identify design improvement to existing robots and assist with designing new robots
• Collaborate with project team members to achieve goals
• Participate in agile ceremonies and occasional meetings when needed related to features currently being worked on
• Continuously learn new technologies, patterns, and best practices
• Present ideas for continuously improving systems and processes
• Approximately 80% active hardware / software work time, 20% time in meetings and other tasks

Job Qualifications

• Significant experience with robotics hardware and electronics (5+ years)
• Experience with C / C++ (3+ years)
• Experience fabricating and prototyping hardware / parts
• Experience working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and agile environment
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills
• .Net / C# experience is not required but is a definite plus

Additional Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Knowledgeable about professional sporting industry (NBA, NFL, MLB etc.) is a plus.
• Interested in learning about the trading card industry.

Work Location

• Preferred Location – Tacoma, WA 
• Opportunity for Remote work - This is not a remote position due to the need to physically work on hardware
