Job description

Overview
The Senior Revenue Accountant is part of the revenue accounting team responsible for all aspects of commercial revenue accounting for the Americas region, including the US, Canada and Latin America. Working in a fast-growing company that now has four commercial products and a fifth product managed by one of our partners, this position gives the individual the opportunity to help us scale our Finance team to support future products.
Supporting the Revenue Accounting Team, the position will require extensive and effective collaboration with multiple Finance functions and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for executing the monthly product revenue close for the Americas region, with a focus on the US market. This includes preparing monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for areas including product revenue, gross to net (GTN), and accounts receivable, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP.
  • Responsible for supporting the Revenue Accounting Team on other areas of the close process, including collaboration revenue, milestone accruals, intangible assets, special projects, etc.
  • Support the Revenue Accounting Team in collaboration with US commercial, contracting and government pricing business partners to gain an understanding of the customer agreements to ensure adequate rebate accruals.
  • Assist with monitoring and calculation of channel inventory analysis.
  • Assist with oversight of external 3PLs in the US and Canada, including routine monitoring of the data feed between the 3PL and our SAP environment.
  • Assist with order-to-cash system enhancements in our SAP environment.
  • Assist with calculation of global royalties payable, including preparation of royalty reports to external partners.
  • Assist with GTN reporting and dashboards for internal reporting needs.
  • Prepare invoices for timely billing and payment to the Company on third party agreements.
  • Liaise with accounts payable to prepare payment requests and ensure timely payments to external partners.
  • Support the Revenue Accounting Team to ensure complete and accurate documentation in accordance with US GAAP and to maintain an effective internal control environment, including the completion of monthly reconciliations in Blackline and SOX control documentation in AuditBoard.
  • Support the external reporting process, coordinating with the external reporting team to ensure that key inputs are provided timely.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in an accounting environment
  • Experience in public accounting firm and CPA preferred
  • Pharmaceutical or biotech experience preferred
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Strong analytical and Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with deadlines, without sacrificing quality
  • Must demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently as well as part of a team
