The Role:

VAI Resort is seeking a Senior Restaurant Manager with extensive technical knowledge and pre-opening experience to lead the launch and operation of our new dining establishments. This role demands a blend of culinary insight, operational acumen, and a proven track record in successfully opening and managing high-end restaurants.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
  • Oversees the day-to-day workflow and output of the department, prioritizing and assigning projects.
  • Provides guidance and leadership on venue projects; creates and implements additional training and development as needed.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Hire temporary or contract help as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pre-opening phase, including concept development, menu planning, and staff recruitment.
  • Implement innovative technology solutions for efficient restaurant operations.
  • Oversee training programs, ensuring the team is proficient in the latest culinary techniques and service standards.
  • Manage daily operations, focusing on quality control, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote the restaurant and enhance guest engagement.


Education/Experience:

  • Proven experience in restaurant pre-openings and management, preferably in luxury settings.
  • Strong technical proficiency in restaurant management software and systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for culinary excellence.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and adapt to the dynamic needs of a pre-opening environment.
  • Results oriented, with a bias to action.
