We're hiring for a Senior Research Associate to join our team! This is a hybrid role with 3 days on-site and 2 days remotely.

The Senior Research Associate’s responsibility is to utilize centralized research resources / databases and provide research insights in support of our client’s Investment Banking division and other departments. The Senior Research Associate will work on research projects and ad-hoc global projects. The position will cover research primarily related to macroeconomics, real estate and education.

Responsibilities:

• • Conduct secondary research based on information requirements of the client to provide insightful and strategic analysis on macroeconomics, real estate, education sector, and other niche topics
  • Utilize qualitative, quantitative, economic, and financial analysis skills to provide value-added, consistently accurate, targeted, and timely research on varied subjects to support strategic financial decisions
  • Ability to Identify key trends and get behind the data and understand the story / themes it reveals
  • Collate, analyze and synthesize data / trends to present views to external and internal clients
  • Utilize a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and deliver excellent quality content ensuring high productivity
  • Independently manage ongoing client relationship and deliverables
  • Manage key stakeholders to ensure expectations are met/exceeded and timelines are heeded
  • Accurately record resource and time utilization metrics, as well as other performance indicators
  • Stay up-to-date on economic trends and industry developments
  • Adhere to the company's compliance and risk management guidelines

Skills:

• Possess strong knowledge and understanding (and a willingness to learn) of secondary research sources for quantitative and qualitative industry information within economics and other sectors (a plus)
• Background in or a desire to gain industry research experience at financial services, corporate research libraries, consulting, or professional services firms
• Effective time and project management skills to effectively coordinate team workflows and ensure high productivity
• Aptitude and enthusiasm to collaborate with global/virtual teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions
• Refined written and oral communication skills to provide fluidity across working relationships
• Strong work ethic, proactive, enthusiastic attitude, and eager team contributor
• Flexible approach to duties
• Technology literate (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Skype, Zoom, etc.)
• Database/Research skills

Experience:

• Preferred undergraduate degrees in business include Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Library and Information Science. MBA or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science a plus
• Awareness of and adept use of public information and proficiency with multiple proprietary third-party tools and databases
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Library and Information Science desired. MBA or Master’s degree preferred
• Knowledge (and willingness to learn) of secondary research processes with an understanding of sources for quantitative and qualitative industry information within economics, real estate and any other sector/s (a plus)
• Experience or desire to begin working with financial services and related organizations including brokerage firms, consulting agencies, third-party research outfits, investment banks, market research companies, private equity firms, corporate finance firms, etc. (a plus)
• Exposure to any of the following data sources is a plus: Refinitiv EIKON, S&P Capital IQ, Factiva, Euromonitor, IBISWorld, Statista, Fitch Solutions, Industry Associations, Consulting Agencies, Google Scholar, Other Secondary Market Research Agencies

The national pay range for this role is $51,900 to $91,500 annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
