Primary Responsibilities
HDR is looking to add a Senior Real Estate Services Agent to our growing practice in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have experience with right-of-way acquisition for electric utility projects and working closely with utility clients. In the role of Senior Real Estate Services Agent, we'll count on you to:
  • Manage land acquisition tasks with minimal oversight for electric utility projects from design phase to completion of construction.
  • Perform in a lead or project management position with oversight of land agents, environmental team, surveyors, and title companies.
  • Prepare and manage the scope, schedule, and budget for land acquisition projects.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to work with a sense of urgency to complete fast paced projects.
  • Possess and maintain understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to electric utility land acquisition projects.
  • Negotiate with landowners, stakeholders and government agencies for the acquisition of land rights for electric utility facilities.
  • Perform online title searches and courthouse searches to identify interests in Real Estate.
  • Read and understand engineering plans, surveys, title reports and legal descriptions.
  • Draft Real Estate documents such as easements, options, and purchase agreements.
  • Attend field meetings and visits to active construction sites.
  • Be available for travel (in state) as needed.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Real Estate, right-of-way, title, utility coordination, relocation, or property management.
  • Ability to understand and work in compliance with the federal and state laws specific to the Real Estate and right-of-way industry.
  • Proficiency with standard technology tools such as Microsoft Office and Project.
  • Strong communication skills, basic understanding of negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to work flexible hours and effectively with people of all types.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Real estate license in good standing, or equivalent, as required by law
  • Certification from the International Right of Way Association
  • Permitting experience within Colorado
  • Database and GIS familiarity

The expected compensation range for this position is $68,296.00 - $112,200.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
