Matthews International is seeking a qualified Senior Quality Control Inspector to work in our Production Facility in the Richmond, IN area for our memorialization business segment. The Sr Quality Control Inspector is responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process.
This position researches, compiles, evaluates and presents statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products, recommending methods for improvement to management. This position ensures Quality Control and quality assurance to produce products consistent with established standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Examine products at various stages in the production process to identify defects. Conduct in depth inspection of interior, exterior, hardware, packaging, text, design, etc.
- Complete appropriate testing of products and evaluate/improve testing procedures.
- Compare product work orders to the inspected product to ensure customer specifications have been met.
- Document all defects; give clear, concise instructions indicating necessary repairs and recommendations.
- Record test data, applying statistical Quality Control procedures. Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Reroute defected projects to appropriate team member or location for correction.
- Assist other departments with understanding and improving quality issues and needs.
- Supply appropriate information to management, supervision or department staff if a defect is found.
- Complete root cause analysis to determine the source of product defects.
- Work as a mentor within the production team to guide coworkers in resolving the problem.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
- Generate materials and workflows to assist team in Quality Control processes.
- Process all product that has passed quality inspection.
- Support and manage the company quality business systems.
- Ensure product meets all quality specifications and established standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
