Job Description:

The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is undertaking a multi-year comprehensive transformation of its systems, environment, and business structure. The Data Transformation Effort (DTE) started in 2021 with a multi-year implementation through June 30, 2026. The DMV is emphasizing a complete overhaul of service offerings that focus on a new way of doing business. Centered around an online strategy wherever possible, this customer-focused model will be the “North Star” for all efforts.

This position is needed to support this transformation and will work in one or more key initiatives under the overall program. The key initiatives are Program Organization; Customer Experience; Data Cleansing; Finance and Accounting Transformation; Driver Licensing/Credentialing Transformation; Titling/Registration Transformation; Compliance/ Enforcement and Motor Carrier Transformation. This position will directly report to and support the DTE effort

Scope of Work:

· Be available to DMV personnel for online consultation/meetings related to application testing M-F, 8a-5p Pacific Time.

· Create and implement the automated QA test process to support CI/CD pipelines.

· Ensure that documentation is clear, accurate, and accessible to all relevant stakeholders.

· Define and document QA test plans and scripts for both manual and automated testing, scenario-based testing, negative testing, load testing and full regression testing.

· Conduct regular QA status meetings to update stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks.

· Identify and document potential risks and challenges associated with QA testing and develop mitigation plans or make recommendations to stakeholders.

· Work proactively to address and resolve issues in QA that may impact release schedules.

· Provide technical advice and oversight on the implementation of new software that will be used for automated testing to ensure consistency and reliability.

· Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing of software releases.

· Implement and maintain quality gates to prevent the release of defective software.

· Evaluate and optimize the QA testing processes to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

· Implement best practices for QA and functional testing and stay current on industry trends.

· Monitor issues reported post-release to identify areas for improvement in QA and UAT testing.

· Develop an automated process for using Postman to test APIs developed for the Salesforce/MuleSoft environment.

· Develop an automated process for using Copado or Selenium to integrate automated testing as a component of a CI/CD pipeline.

· Verify that DMV resources can follow the steps to test/verify User Interface and API readiness in the designated test environment.

· Utilize provided DMV resources for questions, clarification if needed and date driven deadlines.

Weekly written status reports to include, but not be limited to:

o Progress being made and accomplishments during the week.

o Identify any problems encountered and proposed and/or actual resolutions.

o Verify weekly outstanding impediments or issues that may still need to be addressed.

o Weekly updates with well documented steps on processes used in automated test scripts both completed and in draft form.

o Quarterly planning activities to be accomplished and status updates on progress toward quarterly goals.

Create a QA Testing Manual

o The manual should include step-by-step instructions needed to use Postman to test/verify the APIs in the MuleSoft environment. And step-by-step instructions for both manual and automated testing, including test scripts for the Salesforce User Interface. The manual should also provide relevant screen shots for each step and is intended to be work in progress to collect weekly work as it is being completed.

Senior level experience implementing Salesforce build and test processes with quick feedback loop.

• Strong understanding of version control, build and deployment processes, and release automation tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address release-related challenges.

• Senior level experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and project management practices.

• Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.

· Demonstratable skills in overall project implementation utilizing best practices and strategic planning,

· Ability to manage and mitigate risks/issues and take corrective action.

· Develop, maintain, and update business and functional requirements.

· Align the deliverables to the DTE project plan and the desired outcome.

· Create and maintain project documentation.

Skills and Knowledge:

· Min. 7 Years Experience in Expertise in QA testing

· Min. 3 Years Experience in Building Automated Testing to support CI/CD pipelines

· Min. 2 Years Experience in Copado Robotics Testing (CRT)

· Min. 2 Years Experience in Postman API Platform Testing

· Min. 5 Years Experience in Senior level experience creating automated test scripts using Copado or Selenium with Salesforce, MuleSoft, ABBYY and BOX

· Min. 5 Years Experience in Senior level experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with fully automated integration,
