This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at the St. Petersburg, FL office location.
Job Summary:
This position is part of our enterprise QA team focused on automation. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can take a senior role in the implementation of test automation strategies across the IT stack. Applies specialized business knowledge, testing experience and technical skills to significant projects that involve multiple IT departments and business units. Reviews functional requirements and uses business and technical knowledge to analyze and develop automation test plans and solutions. Performs testing for application development projects and where appropriate, technology infrastructure projects. Creates and maintains test automation frameworks for use by others on the team. Demonstrates subject matter expertise and is able to integrate domain knowledge with an understanding of standards and practices. Is the primary on the most complex or escalated issues and may provide direction and guidance to team members. Is able to make judgments and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.
- Testing of Enterprise-wide proprietary applications and SaaS implementations.
- Creates automation frameworks, automation test strategies and detailed test plans
- Make recommendations towards the development of new testing opportunities.
- Leads or participates in assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.
- May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities.
- Remains current with new technologies.
- Participates in software system testing and validation procedures and documentation.
- Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Collaborates with project teams to understand project architecture and business requirements to devise a automation test strategy and test plans.
- Creates and executes automation tests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in a 80% automation and 20% manual testing environment
- Knowledge of automation tools: Katalon or Selenium
- Experience with Groovy and or Java for scripting
- Familiar with Postman and REST Assured
- SQL querying skills for data testing
- Organizational skills particularly to understand interactions between applications and how those interactions affect testing.
- High level of proficiency with tools like MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Familiar with Azure DevOps for test cases and requirements.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Ability to gain business knowledge and build stakeholder relationships necessary to perform job duties.
- Familiar with high-level design, operating characteristics and test points of the multi-tiered, web-based applications is preferred.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience including software testing, leading project test efforts, development of formal test strategies, and business and technical acumen or combination of education, training, and experience.
