Senior Qlik Developer

Intelligent Waves has an immediate need for a Senior Qlik Developer to support our mission critical work in support of solving big data puzzles and business solutions with our government customer in Crystal City and Alexandria, VA.

Location: This Qlik Developer position is based in Crystal City and Alexandria, VA (Onsite: 2-3 days/week).

Travel: Ability to travel locally up to 10% of the time.

Security Clearance: The Senior Qlik Developer must hold an active Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain a higher level clearance when required.

Employees are required to follow all company and customer site COVID-19 protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain Qlik applications and solutions to support acquisition-related data analysis and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and data teams, to understand requirements and translate them into functional Qlik applications.
• Design and implement data models and data extraction processes to ensure accurate and efficient data integration from various sources.
• Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Qlik Sense or QlikView.
• Optimize data models and application performance to ensure optimal user experience and responsiveness.
• Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes related to acquisitions.
• Perform data quality checks and implement data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the Qlik applications.
• Collaborate with other developers and team members to troubleshoot issues, share best practices, and continuously improve Qlik solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest Qlik product features, industry trends, and best practices in data visualization and analytics.

List of qualifications:

• Secret or higher level security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Familiarity with database systems and SQL queries and programming languages such as R or Python.
• 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, d3.js, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with Qlik data modeling and building dashboards/data visualizations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Must be in the DC Metro area and available to work onsite (Crystal City, VA and Alexandria, VA) 2-3 days per week.
