Senior Purchasing Agent
Role:
We are seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent who wants the opportunity to grow within a company that will be building 200+ homes in 2024. We are in hyper growth mode and expect to consistently deliver well beyond 200 homes each year. We are currently #BuildingAGreenerColorado with our sights set beyond Colorado! Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience and a total pay package between $82,500-$87,500 to start with an annual 10% discretionary bonus based on a 360 survey of your peers. Additional benefits include unlimited paid vacation after 90 days, paid holidays, health insurance, and a 401k with employer matching + profit share offered.
Ideal Qualifications:
- 5+ years in residential production building purchasing experience.
- Must possess a good working knowledge of construction components, materials, processes, and scheduling.
- Knowledge of LEED Certifications
- Proficient in spreadsheets and data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Asana, Procore, or similar project management platforms
- Cultivate a network of trade partners, distributors and manufacturers committed to reducing costs and increasing service and value.
- Comfortable negotiating contracts and holding contractors accountable to scope of work.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Candidates must live or plan to relocating to the Denver Metropolitan Area upon employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports Purchasing Agents to answer daily questions regarding contracting, scopes, subcontractor issues, field unforeseen, etc. and escalate to Director as needed.
- As the Sr. Purchasing Agent you will be responsible for the buyout on a small amount of projects in addition to supporting the Purchasing Agents on their projects.
- Assist the Director with Budget Management throughout the course of the projects as requested.
- Oversee the daily functions of the Purchasing Coordinator, including supplier invoice approvals, subcontractor insurance management, project close-out, etc.
- Work with Purchasing Agents to grow our sub-base and build on existing relationships.
- Support Purchasing Agents in the buyout of new projects.
- Ensure we receive a minimum of three competitive bids.
- Participate in frame walks and box walks alongside our construction and architecture teams.
- Investigate all cost variance changes to the contract scopes of work prior to submittal to the Director for approval.
- Assist the purchasing team in recruiting new vendors and trade partners.
- Quarterly Rebate Reporting
