Duties:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and other adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate and timely recording of revenue and expenses.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process.
- Provide support during audits and tax filings.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in property accounting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of property accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Rentmanager.
- Familiarity with tax regulations related to property accounting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in public accounting or corporate finance is a plus.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
