Job Description:
The CT Department of Administrative Services requires a Sr. Project Manager to lead or assist with projects and programs supporting DESPP/DSET goals and objectives.
SCOPE OF WORK
High-level description of the need.
Support the following projects:
Emergency telecommunications and IT initiatives
911 services and enhancements
Public Safety Data Network
Researching new technologies
Systems and network security initiatives
Strategic plans, roadmaps
Vendor management
Contract management, negotiation, compliance
Budget, financials
Regulations, statutes; state and federal
Communication plans, programs, public education
Assist with coaching personnel as required.
Ensure timely tracking and knowledge transfer throughout lifecycle of projects.
SPECIFIC DELIVERABLES TO BE PROVIDED
Support DESPP/DSET by developing reports, researching, and implementing new technology solutions, negotiating contracts, preparing budgets, training and coaching junior staff, ensuring transfer of knowledge.
Department's requirements for status reporting.
The resource will work directly with senior members of the DESPP and DSET Staff taking ultimate direction from the Director of Emergency Telecommunications.
Implementation schedule for the Deliverables and Services.
The initial period of work is anticipated to be from July 2023 through July 2024
REQUIRED CONSULTANT SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
10+ years of agency specific experience
10+ years of experience leading teams
10+ years of experience in a state and federal regulatory environment
10+ years of experience managing multimillion dollar budgets.
10+ years of experience in securing grant funding and the management thereof.
10+ years of experience in securing grant funding and the management thereof.
