The Senior Product Owner role is integral to driving innovation, aligning with clients' business roadmaps, capturing effective data points, streamlining processes, and addressing significant technological challenges through MuleSoft and Salesforce solutions, embodying Green Irony's commitment to challenging the status quo. As an experienced leader, the Senior Product Owner brings a deep understanding of the product development process and strong strategic and tactical abilities to the team.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Product Owner will deliver consulting services for client projects, focusing on analyzing requirements, developing designs, and leading Agile implementation of MuleSoft or Salesforce solutions. They work closely with the customer's roadmap to ensure alignment with project goals. As a liaison between clients' business users and Green Irony's delivery team, they identify, assess, and document business requirements, create use cases to clarify requirements for the development team, and analyze the impact of proposed solutions on the client's organization.
Solution Delivery
  • Building strong relationships with clients and gaining an understanding of their business models and processes
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced Product Owners within the team
  • Facilitating requirements gathering meetings to gather user requirements related to MuleSoft, Salesforce, and other relevant technologies
  • Documenting business and functional requirements for all applications in the project backlog
  • Developing and analyzing business requirements and ensuring traceability of business and system requirements
  • Attaining sign-off from business users on requirements and ensuring application developers can translate the requirements into system specifications
  • Working with business stakeholders and technical experts to prioritize the project backlog
  • Ensuring changes to requirements are approved and documented via the Change Request process
  • Leveraging a deep understanding of MuleSoft, Salesforce, and other relevant technologies to validate key design options and present proposed solution designs and implementations
  • Participating in Scrum ceremonies to support the development team
  • Partnering with client's business stakeholders to structure and lead the user acceptance test (UAT) effort to ensure applications match business requirements
  • Collaborating with requirements and available development resources to ensure testing process success
  • Reviewing scope-related deliverables prepared by the team before sharing with the client to ensure alignment with project scope
  • Developing training plans and materials, and delivering end-user training as required
  • Working effectively with team members toward customer satisfaction and success
  • Monitoring and managing project scope to ensure project stays on track for assigned client projects
  • Collaborating with Sales and Operations leadership in the sales process, including demoing existing applications and creating new proposals for project delivery based on initial conversations with clients as required
  • Collaborating with client stakeholders to identify roadmaps, opportunities, and risks in different approaches to deliver solutions based on best practices as required

Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor
  • Previous Product Owner or project management experience
  • Preferred understanding of MuleSoft and Salesforce, or willingness to learn these technologies
  • Previous consulting experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies; ScrumMaster or Product Owner certification a plus
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly assimilate, willingness to learn new technologies, proactive entrepreneurial spirit, and reliability
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with customers and coworkers, and demonstrate respect and responsiveness; strong team player
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and internal meetings (less than 25% expected)
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred but not required
