Mission/Role

The Sr. Product Line Manager, Men’s Sport Lifestyle Footwear will be responsible for developing a sneaker assortment that drives the Cole Haan business in each channel (Inline Retail, Digital, Outlet, International, and Wholesale Partners) and achieves corporate margin targets. Responsible for both our GrandPro collection and our Zerogrand Performance Lifestyle products (running and golf), this individual will have the chance to drive growth within one of our brand’s fastest growing footwear zones.

 

To do so, the Sr. Product Line Manager, Men’s Sport Lifestyle Footwear will demonstrate a thorough understanding of and lead cross-functional thinking around Cole Haan’s strategies, current and future consumers, the competitive context, retail/wholesale partner requirements, prior years’ selling and future trends in the sneaker space.

 

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop Line Plans for Men’s Footwear that will deliver against Cole Haan’s overall financial objectives and the requirements of each channel while also supporting the successful growth of the brand across key use occasions in the mind of target consumers.
  • Maintain a current understanding of key consumer and competitive trends driving the Men’s Footwear business and create materials to update Merchandising leadership. Communicate insights to inform Product Development and the development of merchandising strategies.
  • Develop deep expertise around the key drivers of the Men’s Footwear Business across channels and within each channel that can inform line plan and assortment development.
  • Partner with Design to understand their seasonal concepts for Men’s Footwear and to ensure their development against these key ideas is aligned with business needs.
  • Develop compelling retail assortments that support powerful stories around key consumer segments (e.g., “work”, “weekend”, “travel”) within inline and outlet store environments
  • Present Men’s Footwear assortments to Channel and partners in each Cole Haan channel based on a detailed understanding of past financial business drivers and current strategies to channel leadership and the planning organizations.
  • Manage changes to the Line Plan (and the assortments it describes) throughout the Go-To-Market (GTM) process. Communicate new product requirements as prior season selling actualizes to Design and PD and changes based on product execution to Merchandising, Planning and Channel leadership.
  • Present at Sales Meetings to ensure that Account Executives understand the seasonal strategies underlying the broader assortment, key items and the key strategies for their accounts.

 


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising/Business Related Field.
  • 7+ years experience including footwear assortment management experience working across price points, footwear classifications and channels preferred.
  • Proven success managing a line building process and meeting associated metrics (margins, revenue goals, etc).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing retail assortments
  • Previous experience managing direct reports.
  • A love for sneakers, sneaker culture, and product storytelling.
  • An understanding of the running and golf marketplace with previous experience managing performance products (in any category).

This position is not available to be performed in Colorado.
