Senior Product Designer- Mechanical

Objective:
Work as a Product CAD Designer of Exterior Automotive Lighting
Key Words:
Technician, 2D Drawings & 3D Modeling, CAD, Catia, Class-A Surfacing
Key Responsibilities:

1. Support mechanical product design and development and OEM automotive exterior lamp systems.
2. Support all STEP release and upload 2D drawings and 3D models for automotive customers and support OEM development stage events based on product development timing.
3. Coordinate with MOBIS HQ from concept design thru final design stages, requirements, including design review / changes and feasibility reviews.
4. Control and support mechanical engineering data/documents delivery between OEM, MOBIS HQ and Plants.

Key Tasks:
Class-A Surface integration into 3D models, 2D drawing creation, CAD Data management, Import and Export data to and from customer, MOBIS HQ and suppliers
Experience Level:
About 5+ years of experience in mechanical design of plastic components and Electronic CAD Design. Experience in die cast aluminum and sheet metal stampings a plus
Educational Requirement:
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design or equivalent work experience
Additional Experiences:

• Tier 1 experience with OEM
• Collaboration with Studio
• International experience

Required Skills:
Proficient in using CAD systems CATIA. NX TCE a plus

Travel Requirements:

• Travel- North America, Mexico and Asia may be necessary. Less than 5%
• Mainly work on-site at MTCA and also frequently offsite at OEM facilities
