Job Summary

 

Advanced professional role. Highly skilled in Process Improvement methodologies with a high level of proficiency. Develops business process solutions that require complex analysis and research, typically at the department level, and may span multiple operational and technical domains. Works on tasks or projects with medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple business process areas and business segments with high levels of risk. Leads multiple projects with minimal supervision and with moderate latitude for independent judgment. Expected to consult with senior peers on work assignments and to coach junior peers on Process Improvement and project management tasks. Typically requires four to six years of demonstrated process analysis, business process management, or project management experience.

Responsible for complex business and systems process analysis, design, and simulation. Requires moderate to high understanding of organization’s business systems and industry requirements. Creates change by integrating new processes with existing ones, communicating the changes to impacted stakeholders, building consensus where appropriate, and facilitating negotiations when needed. Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts. May lead implementation teams as a project manager and may act as a program manager, as needed.

Projects expected to focus on business planning, business operations, customer service, or other non-technical subjects and may involve some technical subjects.

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Leverages Process Improvement methodologies and tools to improve process performance and quality
  • Proficient knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in Process Improvement or project management
  • Identifies, plans, performs, and implements Process Improvement initiatives (e.g., ISO, PMP, Agile, Lean or Six Sigma)
  • Leads implementations through task management (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum, ADKAR)
  • Diagrams and evaluates Process Improvement opportunities within existing processes
  • Organizes, leads, and facilitates cross-functional project teams, including some project management accountabilities
  • Organizes and leads efforts to collect data, including data collection plans, then completes analysis to identify improvement opportunities
  • Business relationship managers who consults with the business to identify opportunities, builds consensus to drive change, and resolves barriers proactively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adaptable to audiences of various levels in and out of the organization
  • Able to present, train, and educate the organization, including leadership, on assigned work items and recommendations
  • Delivers, and creates as needed, presentations and training courses related to Process Improvement topics
  • Broad knowledge of IOA products and services, business practices and processes
  • Broad knowledge of insurance industry practices, regulations, and processes
  • Some travel may be required
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

 

      4-6 years of experience with process analysis, problem-solving in an operational environment, stakeholder negotiation, conflict resolution, and independent time management

      Advanced proficiency in one or more project methodologies (e.g., ISO, PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, ADKAR)

      A bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of professional training, certifications, and work experience
