Form of workSTS Technical Services is hiring a Senior Printed Circuit Board Designer in Danbury, Connecticut.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop complex electronic designs for Navy and commercial applications using CAD software or manual systems.
- Utilize Cadence design software, particularly Allegro toolset, to design PCB products.
- Create electrical schematic diagrams using Allegro Design Entry CIS or CAD.
- Design PCB layouts for analog, digital, power, and high-speed applications using Allegro PCB Editor.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Design Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Generate fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, bills of material, and specifications adhering to ASME standards.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with design standards and quality parameters.
- Uphold Company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior drafters, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to team objectives in a cooperative and supportive manner.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in Cadence Allegro PCB design software.
- Knowledge of commonly used design concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Familiarity with IPC standards, ASME Y14.100, ASME 14.5M, and MIL-STD-100.
