Overview
We are seeking a full-time Post Producer Digital Services to join our team of creative experts in our Olathe, KS location. We are a full-service internal agency. We work with incredible directors and photographers on productions shot around the world. In this role, you will oversee post-production of Garmin video content that connects with audiences in the US and globally including TVC, online video, social content, merch/trade show displays and more. You will have the opportunity to work across every segment of the business including FitWell, Marine, Aviation, Rec/Outdoor + Consumer Auto.
Essential Functions
  • Build and manage cross-functional project teams through a project's lifecycle. Understand each team member's skills and capabilities to align resources best suited for the work, leading to improved efficiency.
  • Responsible for overall post-production workflow including building and maintaining control of project timelines and holding team members accountable. Brings order to chaos to deliver the highest quality, accurate work on time.
  • Proactively coordinates kickoff meetings, live edit sessions, VO sessions, color sessions, reviews, and internal and external file/link sharing. Manages final delivery of assets for translations and global use.
  • Drives understanding and respect for post-production process, maintaining a proactive mentality and ability to critically think through the production development process and what it will take to complete initiatives within large bodies of work.
  • Demonstrates agility in problem solving and adeptly clears roadblocks for project teams.
  • Keeps status doc and project management software updated in real time.
  • Collaborates with associates on the Marketing Team to ensure all are working towards the same goal. Serves as the liaison between project teams, Producers and Project Managers with constant communication.
  • Be immersed in digital video and social media trends to help ensure Garmin stays ahead of the curve.
  • Provides coverage for Producers when they are travelling on production to keep post-production projects moving forward.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Communications AND a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Post Producer, producer, project manager, studio manager or similar role within a production company or creative ad agency
  • Demonstrated understanding of AICP line items and bidding process
  • Ability to develop strong rapport and trust with segment leaders, marketing managers, global associates, and extended Garmin teams (UX, ID, etc.)
  • Multifaceted agency production experience that spans photography, video, digital, web builds, print production, events, outdoor, stunts, even the occasional physical object (Portfolio of work required)
  • Ability to stay abreast of digital technology advancements with emphasis on video, broadcast, interactive, and motion graphics technologies
  • Sound understanding of scoping and staffing for heavy productions
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented, driven problem solver, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Understanding of all the varied aspects of video & motion graphics production
  • Experience in producing fully internal productions and execute fully out of house productions

Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with post-production software a plus (Media Composer, Pro Tools, DaVinci, Premiere, Compressor, Adobe Suite, Cinema 4D, 3D Studio Max, After Effects)
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of post-production including edit, motion, audio, and color
  • Understanding of how to plan and execute a broad range of deliverables with ability to speak creative and production languages to bridge the gaps between them
  • An excellent communicator and confident negotiator who is compassionate, curious, a team player and creative problem solver
  • Flawless organizational skills, a sharp attention to detail, and capable of self-managing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Masterful process and workflow management with ability to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and SharePoint
  • Experience with project management software and common post-production software including, but not limited to Jira, Frame.io and Box
