The Sr. Portfolio Management Analyst Position
Sunnova Energy is searching for Sr. Portfolio Management Analyst to be responsible for developing data processes, data flows and providing substantial analytical support for Sunnova's Sales & Marketing department. The role is responsible in delivering insightful metrics, reports, and analysis through various approaches, and presenting the results in a visual format through tools such as Tableau.
- Develops analytical models and data visualizations to drive analytic insights
- Builds an adaptable data architecture allowing to build and iterate on new data sets quickly
- Designs and develops metrics, dashboards, and reports around Portfolio performance to drive key business decisions
- Develops and maintain processes and standards to enable data access, reporting, quality and master data management
- Designs, builds, and manages data sources to satisfy our growing data needs
- Develops and manage data pipelines at enterprise scale
- Builds data expertise and enable data quality for various data flows
- Performs qualitative and quantitative assessments of all aspects of models including theoretical aspects, model design and implementation. As well as, assessing data quality, integrity and preparing recommendations on how to improve data quality
- Interacts with cross-functional teams to model current operations processes and evaluate potential solutions
- Prepares analysis and reporting for key activities and projects by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information: documents detailed explanations for significant variances
- Designs, maintains, and continuously improves dashboards
- Builds documentation and ad hoc analyses, methodology, and data definitions for raw data
- Proactively identifies key areas for process improvement through data analysis and strategic thinking
- Produces custom reports and analysis
- Completes various additional tasks and projects as requested from management
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or related field
- 4-7 years relevant Data Analysis/Engineering experience for large to BIG data
- 4-7 years of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, etc.) experience, as well as Python
- 4-7 years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience creating dashboards and using analytics to measure business processes and performance in high-volume industry; Consumer Product, Banking/Finance, Energy/Utilities
- Strong statistical knowledge including regression analysis, correlation/causal computations, or AI/ML applications
- Ability to analyze and obtain insights from complex / large data sets
- Experience in analysis of IT applications that cross numerous operational and servicing disciplines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to assess metric outcomes on a relative basis and create sound recommendations based on accurate data evaluation
- Demonstrated experience communicating business implications of complex data relationships
- Open office environment
- Remote office environment if outside of Houston
- Some travel may be required if working remote
- Extended periods of time working at computer workstation
