Job Description:
Encore Talent Solutions is seeking a* Senior Platform Engineer* for an end client requirement. The Platform Engineer – Sr. (Transportation Systems Focused) participates in all aspects of transportations system solutions including process design, system set-up and configuration, user training, testing, go-live support, and continuous improvement across the client's network of facilities. As part of the IT Deliver Platform Engineering Team you will be a key member of the fast paced, creative thinking, highly motivated group of Platform Engineers that play a crucial role in helping the company meet growth objectives and profitability goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities* include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Coordinates ongoing maintenance, changes, and updates to transportation systems
- Analyzes data, gathers, develops, and documents solutions to meet evolving business requirements
- Provides guidance to operational leadership on system capabilities and functionality, gathers and analyzes data to support suggested direction
- Works with business stakeholders to understand business processes to define and analyze business requirements
- Supports Operations teams through training, implementation and support of transportation systems including Manhattan TMS, Descartes Route Planner, and Velocitor POD.
- Develops creative solutions to help solve complex system or procedural issues of the business utilizing existing technology
- Develops reports, alerts, dashboards, and health checks that are essential to the business and the heath of transportation systems
- Leads moderate to large projects with a focus on delivery and quality of timeliness
- Tests and supports integrations with boundary systems
- Works with vendor partners in the implementation of third-party systems
- Support implementation by developing documented implementation plans, configuring systems, training users, and providing post implementation support
- Evaluates level of effort and articulate technical requirements; identify impact, risk, and benefit of alternative solutions

Requirements:*
- Bachelor’s degree, preferable in warehouse and logistics management of Industrial Engineering
- Three to five years’ experience in system implementations or related experience
- Experienced with process design and process improvements
- Descartes Route Planner implementation experience preferred
- Manhattan Associates TMS implementation experience preferred
- Ability to communicate technical information to Operations Managers and other stakeholders in an easy to understand way
- Ability to develop new methods or tools to solve complex problems with no existing solutions
- Ability to read and communicate technical documents in a straightforward way
- Proficient SQL skills
- Proficient in the use of Rest APIs
- Proficient in the use of BI and Analytic tools
- Proficient in the use and management of supply chain systems; complex configuration
- Understands common supply chain system integration methods and formats, sockets, ftp, delimited, json, xml, Python etc.
Other Requirements: Ability to travel 25-50% of the time (some weekends), On call 24/7 during a one-week call rotation as scheduled.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
