Pierce Transit offers two Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) plans to choose from, PERS2 and PERS3, as well as a matching program for 457 deferred compensation.

PAID LEAVE:
Full-time Pierce Transit employees are eligible to receive 11 paid holidays, 2 personal paid holidays, 6 days of major sick leave, and 22 days of paid time off (PTO) per year. Part-time employees receive pro-rated leave, to include major sick leave, PTO, and holiday pay. PTO accrual rates increase per policy and/or collective bargaining agreement.

- Performs complex planning activities, including development and implementation of short- and long-term transit service plans, projects, programs, policies, operations, and fare studies.
- Project development activities including agency capital and facility needs and develop plans, strategies and projects to address those needs; determining budgets required; pursuing funding (internal and external); developing partnerships to address agency needs.
- Administers and monitors transit service performance indicators to facilitate agency budgeting and decision-making and to comply with Local, State, and Federal reporting and grant requirements.
- Facilitates the adoption of agency plans and programs by doing research, conducting public outreach, preparing reports, forming recommendations, developing and delivering presentation materials to Staff, Executive Management, and Board of Commissioners.
- Evaluates federal, state, and local regulations that affect the agency and guides the agency in complying with necessary regulations.
- Leads, develops and participates in public outreach processes to inform public on Pierce Transit projects and plans

- Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, or related field and
- four (4) years of experience in planning, project management, and/or data analysis.

Education
