As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for answering incoming calls/completing outbound calls to/from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity. Along the way, you'll discover the training, support and career opportunities you'd expect from a Fortune 6 leader.  This role is equally challenging and rewarding. As a senior team member, you'll help identify problems and determine solutions both independently or in a team/group setting. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information. It's a fast paced, high volume environment where accuracy is essential.

Location: This role is onsite in Tucson, AZ (Address: 1075 E FORT LOWELL ROAD TUCSON, AZ 85719). May need to make occasional local deliveries if needed (would be less than 10% of the time)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate information
  • Contact patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues
  • Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
  • Resolve customer issues while ensuring accurate information is provided
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with solid professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Active and unrestricted licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Arizona
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 1+ year of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system application
  • Access to reliable transportation & valid U.S. driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Immunization Certification
