Job Description
We are looking for a candidate to work on our select high damage docket. This candidate will work mostly with our top litigator, who works on commercial cases and cases with high damages. This candidate should be organized, professional, responsible, capable of working with limited supervision, and committed to helping us meet all our clients' needs. This person must be a team player with a friendly attitude and self-motivated, and able to keep up at a fast pace. 7 to 12 years of prior experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintains and organizes litigation files
- Request and maintain medical affidavits
- Request, confirm and maintain medical records
- Drafts, prepares, reviews, and edits appropriate legal documents
- Draft correspondence to opposing counsel and to the court, as well as file documents with the courts
- Maintain complex filing system; E-filing and hard filing of documents
- Assist in translating with clients that speak Spanish
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: 7-12 years as a personal injury litigation paralegal;
- Knowledge of general office practices;
- Skilled in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines;
- Skilled in effective oral and written communication;
- Skilled in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Compensation:
- $60,000 to $70,000.00 DOE
- Annual raises are to be expected with good performance.
- Quarterly staff bonuses
- Potential bonus structure based on performance beginning end of Q4 2023.
