ENVIRONMENTAL AND TOXIC TORTS PARALEGAL


JOB DESCRIPTION:
Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, critical thinking Senior Paralegal with a desire to help others to join our Environmental Litigation team in Denver, CO. This position is fast-paced and supports a team of attorneys performing regular litigation in state and federal courts. It will involve collaboration with other paralegals and assistants.


SALARY

$34-$48/hour

Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

Duties will include:

  • Communicating regularly with clients and obtaining their documents.
  • Court filings, document management and review, propounding and responding to discovery, noticing depositions, and similar tasks.
  • Assisting in management of deadlines.
  • Management of electronic information, document management, and document review including bates-stamping, scanning, coding, and searching in complex litigation.
  • Assisting attorneys in developing case facts and strategies.
  • Creation of privilege logs.
  • Preparing trial exhibits.
  • Assisting at hearings and trials.


QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must possess a paralegal certificate.

  • Five or more years of paralegal experience in civil litigation, and experience in environmental litigation, or mass torts experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
  • 4-year undergraduate science degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with working up cases from pre-litigation to post-trial motions.
  • Ability to draft client and opposing counsel correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents under attorney
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, Familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs such as, Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, OneLegal.
  • A successful candidate will be detail oriented and organized, be a team player, be reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
  • This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with case management software programs is a plus.
