We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their individual fitness journey.
We are seeking a skilled Senior Paralegal with exceptional organizational abilities to help manage a dynamic company. The ideal candidate will report directly to iFIT’s Associate General Counsel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing paralegal tasks while working under the guidance of iFIT’s team of in-house attorneys. They should possess a high level of job expertise and must have the ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Experience in organizing and managing complex files and discovery is necessary for this position. Additionally, the candidate must be a team player while maintaining confidentiality in all matters.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with the in-house legal department of a large corporation (> $500m annual revenue).

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate college degree and at least 10 years’ experience as a paralegal at a law firm or with an in-house legal department.
  • Significant substantive knowledge of the procedures, terminology, and documents relating to corporate matters; high degree of specialization in areas of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the “big picture” and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to work proactively.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel) and other law office softwar

Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal case files and document discovery processes in connection with iFIT’s litigation docket.
  • Coordinate with internal business teams to prepare responses to discovery requests and schedule and prepare for witness depositions.
  • Oversee and implement iFIT’s critical internal legal operations processes, including managing and ensuring the quality and accuracy of electronic matter management files in Legal Tracker, preparing outside counsel spend reports and forecasts, and reviewing law firm matter budgets and invoices for compliance with iFIT’s outside counsel billing guidelines.
  • Maintain records for iFIT’s subsidiary legal entities and ensure compliance with entity corporate governance and business registration requirements.
  • Supervise iFIT’s small team of internal legal clerks and invest in their career and skill development.
  • Assist in contract management and related processes, including drafting or reviewing agreements based on iFIT templates or coordinating contract reviews among other legal team members
  • Provide support in marketing and copy review and initial clearance
  • Assist in administering pre-litigation products liability claims and improving iFIT’s internal claims management processes.
  • Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
