How you'll have an impact at Paula's Choice:

The creative team serves as the visual catalyst for the Paula's Choice brand. As Senior Packaging Designer, you have an opportunity to directly influence branding & content across printed collateral. When you join our design team, you become a key partner who will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and become an expert in your channel. Your purpose as Senior Packaging Designer is to launch new products, craft designs for component packaging, and drive brand identity through various printed collateral.

As a Senior Packaging Designer, a typical day might include a mix of the following:

  • Develop and produce packaging concepts & mechanicals
  • Review and approve packaging production samples from vendors and suppliers
  • Review proofs to ensure content and accuracy
  • Strategize and develop packaging solutions with creative & product development teams – both component & secondary packaging projects
  • Maintain brand consistencies while meeting regulatory standards and verifying packaging functionality
  • Work within an agile team structure to strategize and communicate closely with PD, Brand & Marketing partners to optimize and design new and existing collateral to fit business objectives
  • Work closely with lateral creative team members on 360 campaign development and execute to consistent standards
  • Streamline processes to increase productivity and quality of executions
  • Support, manage and grow one direct report
  • Provide overarching support to creative team members across channels as necessary
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager

The Details:

  • Location: Hybrid; must be located in the Pacific Northwest region. This role will need to work out of our Seattle, WA location up to 50% of the time.
  • Hours: Typical business hours, will require some flexibility
  • Physical requirements: Ability to sit for long periods and ability to manage long periods of screen time
  • Travel requirements: up to 20%.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Online portfolio showing competency in graphic design with an emphasis in brand identities, hierarchy systems, packaging and print production
  • BA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design and production
  • 2+ years Corporate-level experience
  • Strong color sense – ability to work in various color fields, including CMYK, RGB & the pantone color system
  • Knowledge of the packaging industry as it relates to production art files
  • High proficiency in Adobe Design Suite, with an emphasis in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Ability to effectively assess priorities and work well under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional time management and problem solving skills
  • Proactive, self-starter with high attention to detail
  • Strong production skills with the ability to take direction while collaborating with a wide variety of team members
  • Top notch verbal and written communication skills. Ability to gain a full understanding of the scope of each project and how to present and explain the design methodology as well as your ideas

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

$80,000 - $90,000 USD/annually


Paula's Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
