Role: Senior Operations Technician
*This role is mainly offshore. Candidates must reside in the Houston, TX Metropolitan area, or Louisiana (Gulf of Mexico)*

Position Description:
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Senior Field Operations Technician is accountable for the following:
- Ensure all activities are performed safely, within relevant regulatory and company requirements and accordance with laws.
- Coordinate operations to meet or exceed availability and production targets.
- Operate, supervise & adjust production, injection well fluid flow & pressures, fluid separation vessels, produced water handling facilities, crude oil to export, gas compression and treatment, distribution equipment and process.
- Ensure company and 3rd party compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Supervise during emergency situations as required.
- Supervise equipment inspection and testing, including Critical Function Testing.
- Prepare reports and generate detailed records and handover notes as required to facilitate proper communications.
- Arrange, participate in and provide process input to HAZAN/HAZID/HAZOP/Design Reviews.
- Carry out performance and compliance testing of wells and diagnosis and optimization on production systems.
- Monitor the work backlog for the Operations Team and implement suitable strategies to ensure it remains within acceptable levels.
Certifications in the following preferred:
- Helicopter Underwater Escape Training
- Offshore First Aid (HSE)
- Compressed Air EBS Training
- BOSIET Training Certificate
Requirements:
- Competent as a Control Room Operator in order to monitor and control all facility operations safely.
- A minimum of 6 years experience in the hydrocarbons industry and/or a relevant trade qualification or certificate required.
- Strong health, safety, environmental record required.
- Knowledge of Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BESSE) and USCG regulations.
- Willingness & ability to work in small/confined places, as well as work on high platforms, walk on high elevation grating & walk up & down steps daily.
- Comfortable riding in a helicopter or boat over Gulf of Mexico waters for extended periods.
- Ability to be transferred to/from a boat via personnel basket swung by a crane with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Strong team working skills, along with experience in working with engineers and/or multi-disciplinary teams required.
- Experience in oil and gas process, including separation, dehydration, compression, safety and utility systems preferred.
- Experience in operational reporting, diagnostics, troubleshooting and production optimization preferred.
