Senior Network Administrator

We are a rapidly growing government contractor providing strategic services to meet mission IT requirements for our government customers. Vision IT is hiring a full-time Senior Network Administrator.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Network and information technology operations, provide timely reporting in both written and verbal format, and be well-versed in quality customer-facing, timely, and cost-effective desk-side support. The work location will be at FBI Headquarters in Washington DC.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Security Clearance
  • Top Secret (SCI)
• Prefer DoD 8570 IAT Certification Level 2 (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)
• Highly Preferred - DoD 8570 IAT Certification Level 3

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in implementing a network-wide Patch Management Solution; Proactively manages patches and software updates; Responsible for the collection, analysis, and delivery of patches across the network
• Reports and monitors network security vulnerabilities; Provides recommendations on implementing security changes and updates to ensure vulnerabilities are not exploited and their effects on system stability and operation, and configuration change documentation
• Support a centralized 24 x 7 Network Operations Center in troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of data communications, networking services, and hardware, such as domain controllers, DNS servers, and web applications servers
• Installs, troubleshoots and maintains all CMIC, DOJ, and DHS IT hardware. Migrate from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for over 800 computers. Assist in upgrading standard IP address networked printing to cloud printing. Tech refreshes for CMIC computers, printers, and laptops. Surplus old computer equipment as needed, and responsible for inventory of all CMIC computer equipment. Assist with monitoring and installing approved software applications
• Add modified network workstations within Active Directory Services. Troubleshoot within Active Directory and assist System Administrators in resolving profile-related issues for CMIC personnel and SIOC customers
• Images and encrypts classified laptops and computers for all FBI divisions
