Senior Millwork Project Manager - JOS2018 CA

Summary
You will serve as a communication channel and enable information exchange between all parties, both internal and external, as a millworker Project Manager. Three key roles can help with this. Owning projects from the beginning to the end, planning and coordinating project resources, and completing projects on schedule, within budget, and to expectations. Also, you'll be in charge of managing numerous Millwork Projects with budgets ranging from $500k to $2.5m by keeping track of all expenses and deadlines related to each project. From the time the project is awarded until it is finished, project management is necessary. By the relationships they foster, the Project Manager expands recurring business and creates new business.
Responsibilities

• Checking the supplies and equipment are delivered, accurate, and on time.
• Maintain an up-to-date audit of all resources with the help of Shop Supervisors and Purchasing.
• Determine and discuss any project difficulties, then collaborate with other departments to come up with solutions.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to locate, select, and manage suitable vendors and suppliers for the specified supply chain.
• Work with the shop supervisor to plan and schedule the manufacture of samples and deliver finished samples to customers
• Obtain and disseminate all final documents to the appropriate staff after submitting all RFI requests to the client Project Manager.
• Arrange project start meetings after receiving updated production documentation from clients and submitting it to the appropriate parties.
• Provide projects that are on schedule, within budget, surpass expectations, and coordinate all change requests with the project's schedule.
• Arrange the project's resources and assume the initiative in daily discussions with production regarding the project's requirements and status.
• Verify that Netsuite has active copies of all project management templates and forms. Teach team members how to utilize Netsuite for departmental tasks.
• Attend project launch meetings as well as weekly MI Production and client production meetings. Evaluate labor and material cost estimates with production managers.
• Manage projects digitally on CRM and project folders, including all assets, estimates, and client correspondence. Organize and actively participate in project meetings.
• Obtain all authorized material samples, save them, update the project spreadsheets so that the team can see them, define the scope of work, and create a budget or estimate.

Requirements

• Resourcefulness and a focus on solutions, outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, & the capacity to prioritize and handle various responsibilities.
• Excellent job prioritization skills and solution-focused thinking are required. Practical knowledge of the materials and procedures used in a woodworking shop
• Good interpersonal and organizational abilities Proven project management expertise in the building and/or interior design industries
• Knowledge of product applications, price alternatives, and pricing, as well as knowledge of application and modification capabilities.
• Knowledge of managing clients and budgets. understanding of installation and fabrication methods.
• Ability to work the production floor; checking on product status, scheduling, quality and more.
• 5+ years of project management experience in millwork, design, construction, or fabrication.
• Frequent standing, late hours, weekend work, and a few domestic trips are required.
• Sage 100 or NetSuite proficiency and Microsoft Office proficiency
