The Senior Media Plannerwill be responsible for planning, buying and managing media plans that translates clients' marketing and advertising objectives into strategic, cross-platform media campaigns. The Senior Media Planner will work with the larger team to develop and execute plans that are consistent with approved strategies, KPIs, and budgets and assist in the management of workload across a range of accounts.
This position is an integrated role with an emphasis on digital and performance-based media but also consists of traditional (Print, Radio, OOH and TV), experiential and lifestyle media as client's needs dictate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works with directors to establish media objectives, strategies, and tactics for cross-channel media campaigns
  • Understands all elements of the planning cycle and clearly communicates stages to internal teams and clients
  • Develops, presents and executes small to mid-sized media plans using research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, industry experience, and best practices
  • Assists in the management of media-related client issues based on changes in direction, goals and budgets; is aware of the need to create solutions and resolve problems
  • Assists in the buying, negotiation and ordering process for television, cable, radio, digital, OOH and other channels as client plan dictates
  • Manages creative asset trafficking process with Account teams and media vendors
  • Monitors performance of digital media campaigns and assists in the development of analysis of results for clients
  • Manages billing and invoice reconciliation
  • Cultivates excellent relationships with sales community
  • Maintains thorough, up-to-date knowledge of media trends as well as client's business/competitive landscape
  • Plans creatively and seeks out new media opportunities
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have 3+ years media planning experience in a media agency
  • Experience in traditional media platforms (TV, Print, Out of Home, and Radio)
  • Experience working in an integrated fashion with Account and Creative teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of tools and resources such as CommSource, Strata, DCM, MRI, Nielsen/Scarborough, Arbitron, Kantar, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite, with particularly strong excel skills
  • Comfortable with Macs and Keynote
  • Must be resourceful, demonstrate strong attention to detail, follow-through skills and the ability to work independently
