Role Summary

The Senior Marketing Specialist will provide support to increasingly complex marketing activities.

Works cross departmentally to proactively plan and manage national JE Dunn marketing campaigns and communicates and collaborates on timelines and deliverables for all regional marketing initiatives. Develops timelines, budgets, assembles creative briefs, assists in management of resource assignment and deliverables. Collaborates and communicates with key stakeholders, executing campaigns, and conducting retrospectives. Works closely with corporate marketing, communications, and creative services to develop campaign plans including key messaging, channel and distribution strategy, and brand and visual identity. Throughout the project lifecycle, works to ensure campaign plans are adhered to and strategic goals and objectives are met. Enhances both special campaign and day to day workflow efficiency within the marketing organization. This position will be responsible for leading the completion of marketing response, and will direct guidance to department needs associated with project opportunities, events, branding, marketing data, programs and other tasks as needed. This position also provides support for proposal and presentations under tight deadlines. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

MARKETING FAMILY - CORE

  • Provides support for strategic marketing and communications for national and regional initiatives.
  • Supports the national brand as a brand ambassador, following brand governance and aligning marketing materials and pursuits with the appropriate messaging, aesthetic, tone and voice.
  • Prepares, including developing content, proofing and editing requests for proposal and qualification responses.
  • Produces presentation materials and deliverables for internal purposes and project pursuits.
  • Maintains accuracy of marketing information within the CRM system, which includes internal personnel resumes, external contact records, project records, and knowledge database.
  • Creates unique marketing collateral for Business Development and internal departments as requested, ensuring corporate identity is maintained.
  • Plans, coordinates or attends events such as trade shows, conferences, client events, and in-house planned activities.
  • Prepares, including writing, proofreading and editing award submissions.
  • Gathers competitive information and market research to review industry trends and produce effective narratives to effectively market JE Dunn.
  • Researches the organizations competitors and provides analysis.
  • Supports the development and distribution of the national and regional content calendar, including social media, website and editorial opportunities.
  • Partners with corporate communications on events or projects for internal or external press releases, internal newsletters, company intranet, etc.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the highest standards of client satisfaction by displaying courtesy and sensitivity and responding promptly to client needs, recognizes and acts upon service opportunities.
  • Manages difficult or emotional client situations promptly and efficiently.
  • Has responsibility for project and company photography.
Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

SENIOR MARKETING SPECIALIST

In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:

  • Works with key internal stakeholders to prepare annual budgets and timelines for reoccurring and specialty campaigns for  corporate, community impact, DEI, HR, ERGs, safety, operations, marketing and other various internal groups.
  • Oversees and communicates overall national and regional marketing and communications calendar highlighting key dates and deliverables to ensure quality delivery and adherence to schedule and committed deadlines.
  • Manages budget and execution of assigned campaigns from maintaining key stakeholder alignment to ensuring successful execution at national, regional, and local levels.
  • Early and consistent communication with key stakeholders and with other national, regional, and local resources to support effective campaign execution.
  • Creates clear lines of responsibility for campaign execution.
  • Develops and distributes campaign creative briefs to support clear communication to stakeholders and production team members.
  • Works closely with Corporate Marketing to develop marketing channel and digital campaign strategy, and paid media opportunities.
  • Works closely with Corporate Creative Services to translate messaging and digital strategy into visual campaigns.
  • Works closely with Communications to develop messaging, thought leadership content, and identify earned media opportunities.
  •  Reviews, refines, adjusts and aligns processes across national and regional initiatives, campaigns and events to create a standardized, consistent workflow.
  • Leads the successful completion of marketing responses for large, complex construction pursuits.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism or related field (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered.

 

Experience
  • 5+ Years marketing, communications or public relations experience (Preferred)
Working Environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Typically travel is not required
  • Normal office environment
