Ascend’s Senior Account Strategist role leads the direction and strategy of our clients' marketing plans, working to exceed client expectations - on schedule and on budget. As a Senior Account Strategist, you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of client communications, being their lead advocate and liaison between them and our internal production team. The Senior Account Strategist works with writers, developers and designers, sources content, and creates compelling offers while ensuring Ascend and their clients are in complete alignment.

Throughout your time as a Senior Account Strategist, you will work directly with c-level marketing executives in a variety of industries and develop strategies to drive their businesses forward. You will grow professionally at a fast pace and work hand in hand with team members to create revenue-impacting digital marketing programs.
The Day-to-Day:
- Working alongside the Chief Experience Officer to help generate client revenue growth.
- Accountable for setting client strategy and ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met across your accounts and projects.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives.
- Provide regular status updates to clients and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Working to resolve challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Consult with the client on process, execution best practices, or technology.
- Staying up-to-date with trends to help identify opportunities for the client.
- Become an expert on HubSpot growth suite to enable client success and identify upsell opportunities.
- Communicating opportunities to improve the client experience with Ascend leadership.
- Properly communicating requirements and coordinating with Ascend creative and development resources.
- Contributing to Ascend’s blog and social media presence.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship is required
- 7+ years experience with digital marketing, content marketing, and social media
- B.A. or B.S. degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and review reporting with clients
- HubSpot or marketing automation experience required
- Have excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a tenacious belief in hitting deadlines and meeting commitments
- Strong work ethic with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively based on customer requirements
- Passion for digital marketing with a strong understanding of SEO and inbound marketing
- Demonstrate analytical thinking and independent management skills
- Understanding of major social media platforms
- Understanding of email marketing best practices and CAN-SPAM compliance
- Desire to learn on your own and keep up with inbound marketing and Internet marketing developments and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Proficiency in blogging platforms and/or content management skills
