DESCRIPTION: Join ATI Metals as a Senior Manager of Research & Development (R&D) in Monroe, NC. Lead a dynamic team in metallurgical innovation for aerospace materials. Take charge of daily operations, strategic projects, and foster collaboration across business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Task assignment, development plans, and performance management.
• Guide pilot plant leadership to meet R&D project requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement for pilot plant equipment.
• Lead development of new products, materials, and processes.
• Build collaborations with partners to explore new business opportunities.
• Apply CI Tools for Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Costs.
• Administer and manage the budget for R&D projects.
• Provide periodic updates on R&D efforts to executive leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or related engineering field.
• Minimum six years of experience in metallurgical processing.
• 2 years of leadership experience.
• Experience in aerospace materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS or PhD Degree.
• Experience with metallurgical processing of Ni, Fe, Co, and Ti based alloys.
