Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manager - Pharmacy Operations.
In this role, the successful candidate This position is responsible for managing the operational and distributive processes of the Department of Pharmacy. Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, participates in departmental and interdisciplinary activities and projects. Assists in the development of new pharmacy programs and services. Develop and implement quality improvement activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Completes administrative reports in a timely and high-quality manner
- Assist in the development and implementation of the goals and objectives of the department
- Collaborates and supports the senior management to ensure timely, quality services in accordance to policies and procedures, as well as meeting professional standards
- Resolves inter- and intra-departmental issues that require administrative input Routinely conducts operational meetings with Technicians
- Proactively prepares for The Joint Commissions (TJC) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) site visits
- Coordinates general operations workflow to coincide with departmental and/or hospital needs. Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Resolves employees' complaints and grievances immediately when possible, and promotes cultural diversity to ensure a fair and productive environment
- Facilitates the integration of systematic change that positively impacts the provision of care, quality and customer service
- Plans and coordinates the overflow of staff schedules and associated record keeping
- Gather information from peers to provide timely and appropriate performance feedback
- Collaborate with senior management and union partners to provide growth opportunities and individual development plans
- Provides leadership for staff with team building, mentoring, and coaching to foster an environment of innovation and empowerment
- Supervision of pharmacy staff, which involves overseeing employees' full employment cycle, including recruiting, orienting, training, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating employees
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance duties
- Trains and educates potential pharmacy technician through the certified pharmacy technician program.
- Manages our NYULH certified Pharmacy Technician training program
- Performs related functions as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate's degree. Active status of Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Five (5) years of relevant experience in hospital setting, including supervisory experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $88,524.96 - $133,900.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
