Senior Manager Of Training - Custom Closets

Overview
The Senior Manager of Training, Preston Custom Spaces is the subject matter expert for Preston training. This position partners closely with the Director of Design, Preston Custom Spaces in the development and delivery of Preston Training. This position will interface and partner daily with manufacturing, installation, sourcing, and retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development and delivery of TCS Preston Design and Sales Training - both for Design Specialists and Train the Trainer certification programs
• Creates and implements Design Specialist training programs including new hire design training and continuing education
• Responsible for ongoing Design Specialist training, including a "snippet" video series focusing on important design elements and standard and custom components of the Preston product line - digital assets for storage on Continuing Education Portal
• Partners with Director of Preston Design in the development, delivery, and implementation of Certification Programs for Preston training
• Evaluates, coaches, and certifies Preston Trainers in all training modules
• Participates in the development and delivery of new product training and training on Impactful Design Techniques, collaborating with Senior Director of Preston Sourcing and Director of Preston Design
• Supports Director of Preston Design as needed with National, Regional and Local Marketing projects (Show Homes, Marketing and Public Relations projects) and other projects where Preston is featured
• Partners with Director of Preston Design and TCS National Installation Team(s) to develop and deliver Installer Training where design or new product training is required
• Actively contributes to development of both internal and customer-facing design collateral for Preston (e.g., One-sheets) partnering with Senior Director Sourcing and Senior Director Custom Spaces
• Partners and supports CAD Teams, Software Vendors/Suppliers and IT teams, in developing CAD/Design Tool training program for Preston Design Specialists
• Interfaces with key manufacturing team leaders; builds strong relationships with people in all areas of the organization including manufacturing, marketing, visual merchandising, retail store operations, merchandising, and installation

Qualifications

• College degree in Instructional Design or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years of experience in custom storage and organization industry with emphasis on design and sales
• Excellent research skills
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
• Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility
• Ability to travel up to 25% per year, based on the business needs
• Deep knowledge of custom space design
• Able to leverage own efforts through effective involvement of individuals and resources, both inside and outside the immediate organization
• Motivation to push projects through to solution and implementation to deliver solid business results, cognizant of time and budget constraints
• Demonstrated ability to influence diverse groups; pull them together to achieve a common goal
• Self-driven and must require only minimum management or monitoring
• Ability to multitask and deal with ambiguity
• Solid Microsoft Office Suite skills and ability to learn Design Tool/CAD
• LMS experience a plus
• Enthusiasm and passion for lifelong learning
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment
