Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Senior Manager to join our Risk Management team where you’ll join a team of 18 field professionals who love what they do. The Role
The Global Health, Safety, and Security (HSS) Senior Manager will be responsible for directing the development, support, deployment, monitoring, and review of standards and management systems for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment & Risk Assessment (HSSE) across Hyatt Hotels globally.
Reports to Risk Management and has responsibility for all hotels and project-based work as instructed or required by Risk Management. Providing quality, timely, and professional subject matter expertise and business support to ensure that a safe, sustainable, efficient, and legally compliant work environment is always established.
- Direct the development and deployment of H&S programs and management systems to ensure compliance with company and legislative obligations. Provide direction to management and other personnel to ensure operations are sustainable and comply with group directives, as well as national and international legislation and client requirements.
- Develop, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, plans, and strategies to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliverables as negotiated with and set by the Health, Safety and Security Council, annually.
- Direct the design, development, deployment, monitoring & review of H&S systems, processes, and programs.
- Directs H&S education/training efforts for all levels of employees, including supervision and senior management.
- Responsible for the Contagious Disease Manual and related SOPs, AEDs, and responding to incidents and requests associated with the possibility or presence of contagious diseases or the use of AEDs.
- Coordinates and assesses H&S risk potential of existing operations and new business opportunities.
- Ensure integration of H&S systems, processes, and programs with Hyatt hotel operations, our clients’ expectations, and legislative requirements.
- Directs the implementation, monitoring, and review of H&S systems through yearly governance plans, audits and inspections, and management systems reviews.
- Responsible for ensuring on-site H&S audits/reviews are conducted at hotels on a periodic and as-needed basis.
- Monitors and facilitates the reporting of H&S performance across the organization and supports the development and implementation of Safety Improvement Plans.
- Direct design and deployment of the H&S portions of the training programs, Incident Management System, and Audit/Inspection tracking system.
- Monitors and reports on relevant changes in applicable OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) regulations/requirements related to hotel operations.
- Directs industrial hygiene, occupational, and general safety programs to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with safety standards.
- Responds and directly assists sites in emergency health and safety situations.
- Support H&S documentation and reporting requirements from internal and external key stakeholders (ESG, Risk Council, OSHA, etc.)
- Monitors compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local legislation and codes governing environmental health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and deploy incident investigation programs/procedures, including data analysis and incident prevention (loss control) programs and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
- 10+ years of experience in the same field, industry, or other equivalent business/ function role
Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- CRMP or equivalent
- OSHA 30hr or equivalent
- Experience with Origami, OSHA ITA, RMS
