Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Manager level Mission Assurance Lead to work in our El Segundo, CA location.
The Mission Assurance Lead (MAL) will support the Family of Systems Radar Program within the Advanced Open Integrated Systems (AOIS) portfolio. This portfolio of programs includes state of the art multifunction mission-level products developed to adhere to USG open standards. With our products we strive to deliver unmatched advanced capability in support our armed forces and national security.
The Family of Systems Radar Program includes contracts in the EMD and Production phases developed for the Next Generation mission system. As the MAL on the program, your responsibilities include promoting and executing a meaningful, deep quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. You will also be implementing strategic quality improvements across contracts, ensure effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements, and interface with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Office in supporting program requirements.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Expertise in using program quality tools and resources to implement the Quality Management System
- Applying quality management skills to develop and deploy effective and efficient methods for verifying and accepting processes and products, including the use of quantitative and qualitative resources.
- Use of critical thinking and quality methods/tools to assist and complete the following:
- Improve product design
- Support tabletop and design reviews to ensure quality is engineered into the product
- Maintain manufacturing and test data for quality system requirements and metrics
- Develop product acceptance techniques and plans for internal and customer sell off
- Lead a cross-functional quality team for identifying and resolving manufacturing and testing problems
- Lead process improvements, program investigations, and audits
- Implement preventative and corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10) years of engineering experience.
- Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Working experience developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to obtain funding and managing budgets after award.
- Working experience with EACs (Estimates at Complete), including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
- Working experience leading Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Failure Review and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) activities for systemic issues.
- Working experience supporting the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Ability to travel as required.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain additional program access as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced STEM Degree.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certification.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of contract flow and compliance.
- Experience working on production programs.
- Ability to interface with the quality teams, programs, customers, suppliers, and support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), to ensure compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Ability to lead and facilitate activities and teams across multiple facilities and locations.
- Effective verbal and written communication and networking skills to work with upper management and customers.
- Self-starter and team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
- Results-oriented work ethic and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines.

Additional Information:
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 123,000 USD - 259,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
