PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The role is part of the Manufacturing Engineering, Digital and Analytics department within Cell Therapy Global Manufacturing (CTGM). Your main goal will be to drive decision-making excellence, cost discipline and operational improvements in manufacturing through data analytics, models, and algorithms. You will analyze and model various facets of manufacturing operations, facilitate the budgeting process and support strategic decision-making across the CTGM network. In partnership with stakeholders across the network, you will define, productionize, and roll out data solutions for manufacturing across the organization, acting as product owner/manager, capturing user requirements, shaping the vision for solutions, and integrating them into business processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support CTGM planning and decision-making by providing modeling and data analysis expertise where needed. For example,
    • Optimize manufacturing workforce, capacity, and Cost of Goods Manufactured; (COGM) in partnership with site and above-site functions;
    • Conduct scenario modeling for operations and COGM;
    • Forecast future labor and capacity needs.
  • Collaborate with CTGM teams and cross-functional stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities for productivity and COGM.
  • Understand CTGM site operations and capabilities to contribute to process improvement projects and cross-site harmonization initiatives.
  • Partner with CTGM subject matter experts to define, prioritize, and document business needs and solution requirements, study and understand the underlying data.
  • Work with sites to define and enforce best practices around data management.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business/Finance
  • At least 6 years of experience in Biotech or Pharma, preferably in one of the following areas: strategy, finance, operations, data analytics
  • Experience with Cell Therapy, Biologics, or Pharma manufacturing and supply chain
  • Experience of building models for operations
  • Understanding of managerial accounting principles used in manufacturing and supply chain
  • Data-savviness (Ability to find, pull, manipulate, interpret, and analyze data)
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis using Python or SQL is a big plus
  • Knowledge of Statistics is a big plus
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma is a big plus
