Description:

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the B2B payments division of American Express, enabling businesses globally to pay for and finance what they need to grow their businesses. GCS provides a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. Within GCS, the US Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) segment is a key area of strategic focus and investment. The Small Business Prospect Marketing team accelerates growth for US SME by developing best-in-class, integrated experiences from the first touchpoint in the acquisition journey through onboarding.

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Strategy & Optimization Direct Marketing and are looking for a savvy performance marketer who will be responsible for a broad range of activities including building a high impact roadmap, recommending new strategies and leading process improvements to drive channel optimization. The position will also lead the team’s forecasting, analytics, results and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert for the Direct Mail Marketing channel, owning central initiatives, leading process improvements to drive growth and analyzing performance. Develop and own pipeline of new ideas that enable strategic priorities. Collaborate with team to prioritize initiatives, track and communicate results.
  • Manage monthly performance reporting and forecasting and lead channel analytics and communications, including identification of trends and insights. Communicate performance to leadership.
  • Partner with marketers to find opportunities/challenges that impact campaign and monthly performance and develop solutions to get results.
  • Oversee the team’s budget and reinvest channel savings so dollars go further. Continuously improve the investment planning process to drive greater efficiency, agility, and effectiveness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing, AIM, GIO, Product Management, Technologies, GABM, Legal and Compliance.
  • Manage one MOA/Analyst.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience.
  • A self-starter who is solution focused, results-driven, organized, can simultaneously drive multiple projects, and appreciates the details.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to translate business strategies into actionable delivery plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data to tell a story about channel trends and results. In-depth experience with core data analytics and reporting and exceptional communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to influence partners to take on our priorities i.e.: come up with ways to expand the business, reduce costs, increase efficiency and challenge the status quo.
  • Detail oriented & organized – Ability to manage details in an ever changing environment.
  • Desire to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, have fun and participate in team camaraderie.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of B2B payments is a plus.
  • Multi-Channel marketing and performance marketing experience, including direct mail and/or digital marketing preferred.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
