The Senior Manager, Deal Desk, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the profitability, risk management, and strategic alignment of the deals and contracts negotiated by the organization. This position requires a combination of financial acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and cross-functional collaboration to support the company's sales and revenue objectives.
This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or other non-Best Buy locations.
What you'll do
Deal Structuring and Pricing
- Lead the structuring and pricing of complex deals and contracts, considering factors such as margins, pricing strategies, discounts, and terms and conditions.
- Lead RFP/RFQ/RFI responses in partnership with operations, delivery, procurement, and sales teams.
- Develop and implement standardized deal approval processes to ensure alignment with company policies, risk tolerance, and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, finance, and other cross-functional teams to facilitate deal reviews and obtain necessary approvals.
- Provide guidance and support to sales teams during customer negotiations, including deal structuring, pricing strategy, and contract terms.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and execution of contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Performance Analysis
- Monitor and analyze deal performance metrics, including win rates, deal cycle times, pricing effectiveness, and revenue realization.
- Partner with sales, finance, legal, operations management, and other stakeholders to align deal strategies with broader business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on deal-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
- 5 years of experience with related role responsibilities supporting a professional services team including Deal Desk, pricing strategy, finance, sales, and/or operations.
- 5 years of experience leading cross-functional team initiatives (i.e. Operations, Sales)
- 5 years of experience working in a direct sales and/or operational support environment
- 3 years of experience leading direct reports
- 5 years of advanced application of Microsoft Office products
- Significant experience within retail, services, or technology industries
- Strong understanding of financial principles, including revenue recognition, pricing models, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels, internally and with partner organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
