As Manager, Commercial Strategy, you will lead a team of creative problem solvers in the improvement of business initiatives that impact the direction of commercial and pricing strategy. You’ll support the organization’s core business segments through the development of complex models, strategic initiatives, processes, reporting, and tools. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Manage a team of Commercial Strategy analysts and departmental processes to drive increased profitability and customer satisfaction levels
- Proactively formulate new commercial and pricing initiatives to drive company results
- Coordinate cross functionally to develop tools and establish best practices
- Support the Pricing Organization with advanced analytical processes and models
- Execute, evaluate and report success of various initiatives to the senior leadership team
- Drive joint learning and development with sales team regarding revenue and profit risks and opportunities
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within pricing and other departments
- Contribute to a culture of intelligent risk taking and accountability
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 4 years of professional experience in the business analytics space, including revenue analysis, data management, customer insights, and data science
- Experience in managing a team of data analysts/data scientists with advanced quantitative skills
- Demonstrated ability to derive insight from data, formulate solutions, and drive action
- Ability to use, evaluate, and contribute to computer-generated decision support models
- Experience with data mining using business intelligence software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or Statistics
- An advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Mathematics
- 3 years of professional experience in quantitative analysis in transportation or pricing
- Experience in Less-Than-Truckload or Logistics field
- Experience with B2B contract negotiations
- Project Management experience
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Working knowledge of statistics and statistical packages in Python, R or similar
- Solid organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of a large organization

Colorado annual salary range: $121,089 - $151,361
New York annual salary range: $126,855 - $158,569
California annual salary range: $132,621 - $165,777
Washington State annual salary range: $126,855 - $158,569
Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set (e.g., if an applicant far exceeds the minimum and preferred qualifications for the role).
