Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. What You Will Do:
As the Senior Manager, Aftermarket Parks Packaging, you will be accountable for driving an aligned strategy and vision with internal and external stakeholders working with suppliers to drive safe, sustainable, and cost-effective packaging across the global distribution network. This position will lead a global team of packaging professionals to drive packaging solutions working closely with suppliers and internal business partners to develop and execute the packaging strategy for both existing parts and new product introduction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inbound supplier packaging to the Distribution Centers working closely with Packaging Specifications and Materials team.
- Lead a global team to develop and execute packaging strategy balanced between continuous improvement and new product introduction to meet division goals.
- Collaborate and maintain strong governance with both internal and external stakeholders, including Operations, Procurement, Facility Engineering, Suppliers, and Business Resources.
- Global process owner and leader driving Aftermarket packaging capability to Caterpillar suppliers (Customer Ready Packaging at Supplier Initiative).
- Lead PSLD transformation initiatives focused on maximizing network efficiency.
- Analyze both stakeholder feedback and packaging, operational, supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and formulate executable plans.
- Maintain governance and alignment with business partners including Operations, Procurement, Business Resources, Suppliers, and Facility Engineering.
- Communicate and present packaging strategies, projects, and results to senior management and other relevant audiences, using data, and visualization.
- Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to unique stations and complex problems. Successfully organizes problem solvers and stakeholders for high-impact problems.
What will put you ahead:
- Supplier Management: Experience and knowledge in supplier negotiation, performance, and change management.
- Planning: Tactical and strategic knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short-term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. Creates and implements a strategy for supporting current and future business needs.
- Technical Experience: Strong knowledge and understanding around Packaging, Logistics, and Operations within an Aftermarket Parts division.
- Demonstrated strong results in recruiting and developing the best team.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Packaging, Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of Lean and 6 Sigma concepts.
- Certifications: American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS), qualification as a Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Support Team Leader, CPS functional job role.
