Senior Maintenance Specialist

Founders Maintenance and Restoration is looking to hire a Senior Maintenance Technician for the Savannah, GA area.

Pay is $20- $28/hour depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs basic carpentry and general labor skills, supervises other carpenters or helpers and manages time on the job site efficiently.
• Coordinates construction activities on site and with other trades.
• Interprets construction drawings and technical installation documents.
• Ensures that the Production Manager is updated daily on materials, tools, staffing needs and progress of the job.
• Coordinates and/or picks up small supplies when needed.
• Team oriented - ability to delegate and willing to do what is necessary to get things done, ability to work independently or as a team member.
• Good communication skills - maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.
• Promotes and encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
• Schedule may include some Saturdays.

Requirements:

• Experience in residential construction/remodeling, 7+ years (required).
• Experience in construction management, 1 year (required).
• Strong carpentry skills include framing, boxing, siding, installing windows and doors, deck building, additions and tie-in to existing structures as well as finish skills.
• Good knowledge of building codes and the trades - drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, tile, flooring, etc.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, reach stand, kneel and climb/work from ladders safely.
• Able to work with people with diverse backgrounds, skills, beliefs.
• Professional in appearance and action.
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have own truck.
