Role Highlights

• Take ownership of a deployment system spanning multiple production environments and continue to research efficient and effective strategies.
• Improve, expand, and streamline our existing deployment pipelines to help support faster deployments and automated model retraining.
• Engage with core infrastructure around model training, model deployment, ongoing monitoring tools, container management, and much more.
• Build real-time inference APIs and tooling for data scientists, expand on an ML platform used throughout Best Egg, and enable data scientist efficiency through infrastructure-as-code (IaC) managed orchestration.
• Work with CI/CD tools to help deploy ML/AI models at scale in a production setting.

To be successful in this role:

• At least four (4) years of professional engineering experience or work program equivalents in a relevant field
• Experience in operationalization of Data Science projects (MLOps) on AWS a must - with specific experience with EKS, Lambda, Step Functions, and Sagemaker a plus
• Experience designing, building and operating container-based cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK and other infrastructure-as-code tools in a production setting
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation; experience with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows and Github Actions a plus
• Proficiency in Python used both for ML and general software engineering tasks. Good knowledge of Bash and Unix command line toolkit
• Extensive knowledge of the Machine Learning development lifecycle and associated tooling; demonstrated experience with Metaflow, Flyte, Kubeflow, etc.
• Demonstrated experience building production-grade, RESTful APIs for ML products; experience building data scientist tooling a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong technical communication skills

$170,000 - $220,000 a year

In addition to semi-monthly salary payments, this position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.  Yearly incentive bonus target 20% of base salary. This position may also be eligible for a long-term cash and/or equity incentives at a target of 10%.
