Job Title: Senior Logistics Analyst
Reporting to: Logistics Manager or Director of Logistics
Position Overview:
The Senior Logistics Analyst is responsible for generating insights & optimizing the logistics and supply chain operations of our company. This role demands a high level of analytical acumen, strategic planning, technological proficiency, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Analytics:
- Conduct advanced data analysis, focusing on transportation costs and service metrics.
- Identify accessible improvement opportunities determined trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior management and stakeholders.
Technology and Systems Management:
- Oversee the implementation and management of logistics software and systems, ensuring they are utilized effectively to streamline supply chain processes.
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
- Identify and address complex logistical and supply chain issues, employing strategic decision-making skills to resolve problems effectively.
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting and crisis management situations related to logistics.
- Effectively communicate complex logistics strategies and concepts to diverse audiences.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate and support in continuous improvement initiatives, constantly seeking ways to streamline and enhance logistics processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, applying innovative ideas to drive improvements.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to ensure alignment of logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a strong focus on analytics and planning.
- Proficient in data analysis and logistics software systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

30-60-90 Day Objectives:
1. [30 Day] Ensure that weekly meetings led by the Logistics Manager and each business unit are effective, with the appropriate insights and follow-up completed.
2. [60 Day] Own and champion TMS software change project through training and rollout with branches
3. [90 Day] Execute continuous improvement projects identified by team, including supporting analysis and change management to support execution with Logistics Manager
