SAIC is seeking a Senior Acquisition Logistics Analyst in Albany, GA who is passionate about supporting the internal and strategic logistic efforts for Marine Corps acquisition programs. They will be working in support of, and with, a team of talented engineers and program management staff, to design, build, and support next generation capabilities for the United States Marine Corps. This position is in support of the Life Cycle Logistician (LCL) and Equipment Specialist (ES) for a suite of Marine Corps precision strike systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning and execution of effective and affordable system support strategies, for Marine Corps Organic Precision Fires (OPF) projects, to maximize capability effectiveness and deployability.
- Provide inputs and updates to acquisition documentation to support program milestones.
- Support provisioning functions for systems, such as NSN creation and maintenance, IUID creation and maintenance, SL3 management, supply instruction creation, modification instruction.
- Manage SL3 and hardware fieldings in accordance with Marine Corps Doctrinal Publication (MCDP) standards.
- Provide input into system fielding schedules and plans.
- Provide fielding support for units, to include documentation and distribution for initial issue provisioning.
- Perform system fault analysis, track fault trends and update integrated product support plans based on assessments.
- Provide support as liaison between Project Office and Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany.
Qualifications
Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree and 10 years related experience, or Masters Degree and 8 years related experience.Military retirement and four additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills:
- Experience and proficiency with Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with DOD Instruction 5000 series policies governing the Acquisition process.
- Understanding of, and experience with, the JCIDS process.
- Ability to execute processes and recommend improvements within boundaries of DoD regulations.
- Willingness to travel periodically (approximately 25%) to support meetings, training and fielding events.
- Must possess an active SECRET security clearance or be able to obtain one.
Desired Skills:
- Military experience or experience supporting military organizations.
- Knowledge and understanding of Marine Corps Fires doctrine and systems.
- Familiarity with scheduling software (Microsoft Project).
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
