- Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
- Manage medication as allowed by the state, and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
General Maintenance:
- Performs general maintenance as needed or assigned. Defrosting refrigerators; changing light bulbs; checking exits; and creating work orders for more specific maintenance needed.
- Ensures walls, floors, floor coverings, doors, windows, furniture, and woodwork in the common areas are properly maintained and clean.
- Documents safety issues as well as physical plant deficiencies related to local, county, state, and federal guidelines.
- Responds immediately and appropriately to accidents and emergencies based on established protocol.
Housekeeping:
- Routine and deep cleaning of common areas and offices, including common areas, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, model and vacant apartments, etc.
- Stocks supplies in common areas, restrooms, laundry carts, housekeeping carts, etc.
- Washes interior windows and fixtures.
- Dining room set up, including updating menus, correct table set-up, and ensuring furnishings are clean.
- Sets up for special events.
- Emptying refuse rooms and refuse recepticals. Taking all refuse to the compactor room.
Support:
- Delivers papers, flyers, etc. to resident apartments.
- Answers phones.
- Answers front door.
- Responds to emergencies in resident apartments. Calls 911 as needed.
- Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
- CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
- Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
