The Senior LVN is a supportive role to the department lead LVN and/or department leadership. This role is responsible for providing direct patient care, coordinating patient care workflows, coordinating, and monitoring staffing to meet the needs in the operations of the practice. The Senior LVN will work collaboratively with clinical staff, physicians, leadership, and other disciplines of the medical team to provide safe and efficient patient-centered care. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Diploma from accredited Vocational/Technical LVN program required. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: 3 years' minimum LVN experience required. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Current unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by State of California Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by The American Heart Association Preferred: Current Intravenous Therapy (IV) & Blood Withdrawal Certificate SKILLS: Communication - Ability to convey and/or receive written/verbal information to/from various audiences in different formats. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. And has full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing, with staff, customers, and patients over the telephone or in person.Regulatory - Ability to use discretion and maintain privacy, confidentiality or anonymity. Maintains confidentiality of patient care and business matters. Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of State, Federal and Agency standards to comply with regulations. Working knowledge of subject matter domain areas in clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory and reimbursement context. Ability to deliver safe, appropriate, ethical and evidence-based care in an effective, efficient, and professional manner; incorporates feedback, self-reflection, sound clinical reasoning and problem solving to continuously improve quality of care and operational processes.Technical - Ability to use software applications and operate technological devices (e.g., computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) Strong proficiency using Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft Office software: MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Word, etc.Technical - Ability to operate mechanical/medical devices and/or equipment. Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of healthcare technology within specialty area.Time Management - Ability to demonstrate time management and priority setting skills. Demonstrated success working independently, forging relationships, and managing multiple tasks with minimal directions. Ability to handle multiple demands and/or manage complex and competing priorities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, think tactically as well as strategically. Demonstrating objectivity, delivering results, and showing initiative and creativity.
