Responsibilities:
• The Contractor shall research, support development of and prepare intelligence assessments in formats approved by DIA/CENTCOM, meet, or exceed DIA/CENTCOM quality and tradecraft standards, and provide products within mutually agreed upon timelines.
• Contractor shall be responsible for researching, designing and producing thematic and reference maps in support of USCENTCOM finished intelligence. Responsible for working with analytic colleagues to define project requirements and provide advice on processes and procedures for optimal visual presentation.
• Contractors shall be expected to develop and maintain sufficient regional expertise to provide substantive input into the final map product, including geographic features, Board of Geographic Names (BGN) rulings, key issues, and recent developments.
• Must have the ability to collect, analyze and integrate geographic and substantive data into an effectively designed cartographic product.
• Contractor shall demonstrate knowledge of cartographic design principles including color and symbology theory, map projections, thematic and statistical mapping, topographic and reference mapping, display hierarchies, typography, and data generation.
• Contractor shall possess knowledge of GIS principles including data types, data layers, basic geographic analytic and statistical functions, geographic coordinate systems and data formatting.
• Must have experience with MA Publisher and ARCGIS, animation Autodesk Maya and 3D design printing.
• Ideal candidate will possess desired expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite 6 or later (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop Adobe After Effects, Premier and Dreamweaver as well as experience working with intelligence partners, enabling partner collaboration and knowledge of the Departments of Defense
Required Experience:
• Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
• Must have experience with MA Publisher and ARCGIS, animation Autodesk Maya and 3D design printing.
Desired Education: Master's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor's degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master's degree.
